and lecture, Reiki Master and Reiki Teacher.

shares from Abbey Meads, North Swindon,

She is a Member of the Guild of Holistic

However, even though now a days it is
important to obtain the required
qualifications, she believe in her hearth
that no amount of papers can ever substitute
intuition, passion, serious soul searching
and life experience (obtained in this and
previous life's) in order to become a
genuine practitioner and/or trainer.
Personal Note: I suffer from MS,
Carpal Tunnel, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia, using
Reiki and various forms of Spiritual Healing
to help myself (at great success), but I
have never let anything in life to stop me
to achieve my dreams. For me to achieve my
initial formal qualification was a great
struggle, fiscally, mentally, emotionally
and definitely financially, I had to change
my life 100%, and leave behind all what I
had build for years (money, people, business
... etc) ... I admit, I was really scare ...
how will I survive?, how will I pay the
bills?, will others accept the new me?, it
this really what I'm suppose to do? is
all this stuff about pressure points,
meridians and so on for real, or just a way
for people to make money and con others? ...
I knew that what I really wanted to do in
the long term was to work with the spiritual
site, so I was not that excited to start
with body work, but something inside keep
telling me, don't worry ... just keep going
... the more I study and practice the more I
realise that by working on the physical site
is a great way to enter into the spiritual
aspect of a any living thing, at least for
the once that are starting to realise their
potential as a human being ...
Since I was a child I knew the path I had to
follow, but I as I grow older I choose other
paths ... and got involve in what others
call "the real world" ... to go against the
flow did bring it's consequences ... no
amount of money, men, friends ... were able
to satisfy a whole I had inside ... so I
finally decided just to accept that their
was not other path for me than the
spiritual, it was no essay (still is not
essay and I have accepted that it will never
be and essay path), I don't know were my
path will take me, I take day by day,
listening careful to what is said.

realise what your path is, don't fight it,
don't make excuses (I don't have money, I'm
tired, this is too advance for me, I will
never be a good at it, it is too much
studying ... etc. ) Just do it! go with the
flow ... incredible things will happen
to you, never stop believing on yourself.
I'm not saying that it will be essay but
definitely well worthy and rewarding! The
more attuned you are with in yourself, the
more you are willing to accept the true
(only you know what true is that) the more
people you will meet that will help you to
achieve what ever is that you must do, the
more people you will meet that will learn
from you. For some reason you will start
finding yourself around people, places that
you fell more connected to.
Don't be afraid! embraced it and be excited
on the wonderful experiences ahead.

What is
Holistic Healing?:
Holistic
healing means taking an holistic approach when seeking treatment
for imbalances and choosing to live a more balanced lifestyle.
What primarily distinguishes holistic healing apart from
alternative medicine, complementary medicine, and integrative
medicine is that physical health is not necessarily the main
focus. Even so, it is often the experience of physical
discomfort that will first prompt a person's pursuit of holistic
healing.
It is true that
our pains and other physical discomforts demand our attention.
This is where the saying "sticking out like a sore thumb'"
originated from. It is difficult to ignore the obvious when we
are physically hurting. Common sense tells us that we should
seek help to alleviate our discomforts. Holistic healing is not
an "alternative" to conventional medical care. Sometimes going
to a medical professional is the best solution to addressing a
dis-ease.
Physical illnesses are the symptoms of a greater imbalance that
may or may not have a root cause in the physical.
Holistic or "wholistic"
healing addresses all parts of the individual, not just the
physical aspect of a person where manifested illnesses are most
apparent. Holistic healing is not intended to serve as a
band-aid or a one time fix. It is an ongoing journey of
discovery in search of more answers and ultimately; living
better, being healthier, and striving for wholeness.
Holistic
Healing Goes Beyond the Mind-Body Connection:
Holistic
healing is really a lifestyle approach. The holistic approach
goes far beyond the Mind-Body connection of finding and
maintaining wellness. Overall wellness AND "wholeness" is highly
valued. All parts of a person's life (physical healing, mental
health and wellness, emotional well-being, and spiritual beliefs
and values) are considered. Taking a holistic approach involves
seeking the tools that will help us attract our desires and find
personal power.
A person who
embraces the desire to find wholeness within his own being soon
learns the importance of tending to relationships, caring for
the planet and our environments, having compassion for humankind
in general, and accepting and tolerating differences among a
diverse population of people.
What is the
Role of the Holistic Healer?:
The holistic
healer recognizes that our discomforts or pains are merely
symptoms of an imbalance. The imbalance could be a physical
issue, the result of abusing the physical body through an
unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, or too little sleep. Or, the
imbalance may be the result of mental, emotional, or spiritual
needs not being met. No aspect (mind, body, spirit, or emotions)
of a person is overlooked when an holistic treatment is sought.
The holistic
healer looks at the "whole person" in order to make his or her
complete evaluation and uses all information gathered before
suggested treatments to the client are offered. Keep in mind,
not all holistic healers are equal, each has his or her own
specialty or expertise to offer.
Definition of
Alternative Medicine
Alternative
Medicine is a term used when therapies are presented as an
option to conventional or Western medical treatments.
Definition of
Complementary Medicine
Complementary
Medicine is a term used when therapies are being used in
conjunction with conventional or Western medical treatments.
Definition of
Integrative Medicine
Integrative
Medicine was the new "buzz" term first used primarily by
mainstreamers in the 1990s. This was a time when more medical
professionals were opening their eyes to the Mind-Body
connection. Alternative therapies were no longer being judged as
quackery or far-afield from acceptable. Some therapies were
being integrated into the mainstream. Massage therapy,
acupuncture, meditation and visualization, and chiropractic
medicine were among the first therapies to be integrated into
established medical care programs.
