We run 1 day Practitioner Diploma courses at different level in popular holistic massage therapies. These are ideal whether you are looking to expand your own expertise in the holistic world or you are just starting out.

You can be sure that when you learn with IHTU you will be supported by an experienced and knowledgeable tutors at every stage of your journey with us.

Small student groups, the friendly and relaxed teaching style of an experienced tutor and the high quality content and structure of our holistic courses are just some of the reasons that students return again and again to learn with us. 

Our courses are insurable, meaning that you can practice professionally after completing them.  They also carry CPD points (Continuous Professional Development), perfect for therapists seeking new and innovative massage techniques.

Which ever course you choose to train in, will be designed to teach you the safe techniques for each  therapy with all the theory required for the level you are studying, contained within a comprehensive course book. You will learn all you need to know under close and constant supervision. This will ensure that, once qualified, you will practice in safe and professional manner and provide a service that is a credit to you and of enormous benefit to your clients.

Course Syllabus

Your training begin with an informal but important run-through of your course notes before you attend to your training, and there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions of your tutor on the training day. 

Course  time is spent for the most part on the practical aspects of the therapy being learnt,  and all students are encouraged to undertake additional private study at home using their training manual, text books and support from the tutor. 

  • 1 day courses courses start at 09:30am and generally finish around 17:00pm.

  • Evening courses run on Mondays from 18:30 till 20:30.

Concessions in Swindon: (Must be pay in full)

- £10 off each course:  Book and Pay 2 courses in advance (Practitioner)

- 10%:  Student Nurse (Workshop)

- 10%:  Full Time Students (Practitioner)

- 10%:  4 students booking and paying for the same course together (Practitioner)

- 15%:  4 students booking and paying for the same 2 courses together (Practitioner)

- 15%:  2 People whom take care of a family member with proven mental of physical disabilities (Workshop)

- 10%:  Refer a new student who books and pay 1 day course

(must be taken within 6 months and not combined with any other offer)

Accreditations

As there are no National Occupational Standards for most complementary Therapies, the courses are assessed internally to accepted National Standards of Assessment.

 

The course is taught in the traditional fashion and without the need for specific anatomical knowledge, however to practise professionally in the UK, as a member of a recognised governing body, you may be asked to have a recognised qualification in A&P and Massage.

IHTU is recognised and accredited as a high-quality course provider by the UK's leading professional organisation enabling you to get insurance and practice professionally.

 

 

The FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists) Do accept some of our level 3 qualifications if you have completed level I and II as well and if you have already a body massage level 3 qualification and a relevant qualification to the one day course e.g. Thai Foot Massage – Reflexology / Thai Aroma – Body Massage.

Are there any course requirements?

  • To have read the manual.

  • Please wear a loose and comfortable clothing.

  • No Jewellery or make up.

  • Be willing to give as to received treatment

Do I need to bring anything?

  • The Manual (if you don't bring your manual you will be asked to purchase a new one at the fee of £15, or you will not be allowed into class - non optional. Manual is very important)

  • Jumper (after receiving treatment you may get cold)

  • Pair of thick socks (no shoes in premises)

  • Lunch (microwave available)

  • Bottle of water

  • Cash (extra candles, incense, ear drops, studying material, books... etc)
